not surprised. the pattern more or less follows wealth. the outliers being the philippines and myanmar. singapore is probably only slim because they're mostly chinese.

imo it also more or less, but slightly less accurately tracks with pickiness of the girls. I think this is a pretty good indication the main factor driving hypergamy is an internal clock measuring relative self worth, rather than factors such as say, financial support.

obesity also generally tracks with intelligence. wealth is causative of obesity inasfar as the lack of intelligence within the population allows. it can still be the primary causal factor. it just doesn't apply to people who arent idiots.
