Do you guys only travel with hand luggage or also checked baggage?

I do not know if checked baggage is good because I always look for cheap flights with connecting flights. but hand baggage is often only 5 to 7 kg limit

I did travel with hand luggage only but it's a pain in the ass to have just 5 or 7kg worth of stuff. Most airlines are pretty forgiving with the limit but it's not like you can travel with 15kgs and in any case the luggage must fit in the cabin of the plane somewhere. The pro ofc it's not having the fear of them losing your luggage and being faster exiting the airport when you land.

I am a checkedmaxxer and always haul around two massive suitcases, the limit of what the flight lets me take on. Even if they're not full it means I can bring lots of cool stuff home with me. I would probably only do hand luggage if I was staying somewhere less than a month
