always take first class in chinese trains at a minimum

preferably business class but they sell out fast af and not all trains have them

in first class you get bigger seats and only sit next to one person but in 2nd class, you sit next to 2

but yea

for my last chinese expedition, i mainly took 2nd class seats but for this trip, i’ve only taken first class

I am broke. I took the Chinese slow green trains. Holy shit what an experience.
11 hours in a stinky train with no space at all, everyone smoking, among the real Chinese peasants who go from the countryside.
During the night, that was extremely uncomfortable

Sounds terrible. Like eastern european trains 20 years ago.

The only trains i took in china were the airport express in Hongkong and the fast train to shenzhen. Both were better than trains in western europe nowadays.

i took the green train twice

when crossing the border from vietnam heading to kunming

and going from zhangjiaje to chongqing

not too bad but i was only on it for like 5 hours at one time

just a bunch of villagers staring
