Contrary to popular belief I believe in something similar but different at the same time. I don't think there is a god but spirituality does exist and a spiritual realm exists in which your soul/energy is taken upon dying. This is why dead family members visit you after they're dead. They're still here and want to make sure everyone is fine before ascending to this realm.
I also think that deja vu is linked to this because before entering a new body, your soul can see what'll happen with said body in the future. This is why we say "deja vu". Your soul knows that said moment was going to happen and it did, thats why it seems odd.
You may ask "what about rapists or murderers". Your soul decides what body to drop a piece of itself into even after seeing the future of said body. This is because earth (and other planets and universes) are a school for our souls. Earth is where they learn and grow to ascend into their next form. Sometimes a hard life is needed and sometimes a good one. You may also ask "why didnt my soul pick a chad or a family with money". It can always pick the best choices but it decides not to depending on what it's trying to learn. If it picks the same shit over and over it's not going to learn anything.
