To the faggot, a 12 hour flight overseas flight is a horrible ordeal that cannot be endured without prescription sedatives, booze, WiFi, and in-flight entertainment. But to the seasoned traveler, it is a gateway to limitless opportunities in faraway places for what cost? 30 hours' earnings and half a day of sitting still in a padded seat. sounded too short so I looked it up. it's 15 hours and 35 minutes flight time from ATL to ICN, and it'll set you back over a grand.

Did LAX to MNL for 14 hours 40 minutes, TPE to SFO on the way back only took 10 hours 30 minutes with a powerful tailwind...but of course neither island is part of the Asian continent. This time my eastbound route from Denver to Bangkok is 21 hours 40 minutes total flying time. Yeah, it's 2200 miles farther than flying westbound, but because it's two long-haul flights versus one long-haul and two regional flights, total flight time is roughly the same as the westbound routes at a similar price point.
